Hello everyone! I am so excited to announce that I am the newest “mentern” here at Ment Cowork, also known as the voice behind this blog. Before I hop in, I believe I must introduce myself so you all know who the heck is speaking to you throughout the duration of this year.

My name is Abbey Fouch and I am an upcoming senior at Western Kentucky University pursuing a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Event Management. I plan to graduate this December, (scary) and pursue my own small business full time. I am a professional photographer specializing in weddings and engagements, while also balancing school and a social life. Sound like a lot? It sure is, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I have one foot in the care free, college world and the other in the working adult world, but as for now I am just going to enjoy where I’m at.

I am a Jesus believer, people pleaser, say yes kinda girl. You could say those last two are my strengths but also my weaknesses. I am a 7 on the enneagram scale, meaning that I am outgoing, spontaneous and always up for something new, but with that comes my undeniable inability to say no. I often pile way too much on my plate thinking I can manage it, but let’s face it i’m not superwoman and neither are you. Saying yes is something I have struggled with most of my life but I am challenging myself this semester to say no when I need to. Even if it seems like a good thing, it might not be good for me at the time.

I believe you need people in your corner, your people. These are the ones who will inspire you, push you outside of your comfort zone and help you become the best version of yourself. After only a few days of being here, I can tell Ment provides a coworking environment that cultivates like minded individuals and helps them reach their goals. I am beyond excited for this next chapter and eager to dive in head first to share what this coworking environment is all about.
